Five 1AA schools have beaten AQ schools this weekend: EWU (#25 Oregon St); McNeese (USF, 53-21); Northern Iowa (Iowa State); Towson (UConn); NDSU (Kansas St).

So far, 1A non-AQs have won only three games vs AQs: NIU (Iowa); Fresno (Rutgers); WKU (Kentucky).  Four, if you count ND over Temps, but ND was a 4 TD favorite, so I don't count them; Fresno was a 10-pt favorite only because it was a home game.  The non-AQs still have some opportunities this weekend, but the 1AAs have really stepped it up vs AQs.

The AAC has three of the losses (UConn, USF & Rutgers) and the Big Twelv has two (K-State & Iowa St).

You say you don't count ND but actually isn't ND an AQ school? If they are ranked atleast 8th in the BCS Poll they automatically get in a BCS Bowl.

The non AQ conferences actually might have it easier than ND.

3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, or the Sun Belt Conference (hereinafter "non-AQ group") will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

 A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or

 B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

Technically they're a non-AQ because no matter how well they do, they're not guaranteed a spot in a BCS bowl unless they attain a high ranking.  AQs get a spot simply by winning their conference, no matter how lousy their record is.  But it's hard to consider them a non-AQ school when they play nine AQ schools, including four at home.  That's the kind of schedule most AQ schools have.
