I did not expect us to win. I expected us to look respectable.
The only part of our game strategy that really concerned me was how or why we allowed Louisville to get behind our secondary? 3-4 of their touchdowns were a direct results of this strategy.

Now time to move on and right the ship!

The thing that concerns me the most is T2's lack of confidence in the O line.  When that happens, he's completely out of his game, like last year's Fiami game.  Instead of buying time with his feet, he wants to get rid of the ball quickly.  That makes him less of a threat.

I'm not too concerned about the secondary, although I was surprised that Carrie was beaten as often as he was yesterday because he lost his footing.  Bridgewater may be the most complete QB in the country.  He helps his receivers get open with scrambles and his smarts.  Cato is the only QB we'll face with that kind of combination, although we should keep an eye on Matt Johnson at BGSUcks.

The team needs to avoid a letdown and put this game behind them.  I like Charlie Strong's practice of posting the schedule one game at a time.  What's past is past.  All that matters is this week.

We do that too. Have you seen the countdown clock in the locker room.

We better start seeing stars.

I hope that yesterday's lack (particularly on offense and why were their receivers so wide open) quickly becomes a one-off, 'wrong' memory.

What's it going to take.  We VERY QUICKLY need for 4-6 guys to show that they are absolute stars, first-team All-MAC caliber.

I can't think of the last time that we had a dominator on defense, someone who showed for the whole year.  A field tilter.

And the O-line needs to develop rapidly.

I think that we may have stars potential as a lot of new names made the field yesterday.

Hurry on!

The Defense had no choice than to play zone all day because of the talent Louisville had in all positions. It was the "only" strategy to slow them down. Man on Man would have created too many mismatches. Playing zone allowed Bridgewater too much separation which he was able to exploit. I'm not saying we played zone well. If we had, it would have looked a little different. There were way too many blown coverages. My concern is that a team like Northern Illinois will create similar problems. The good news is that Frank's teams seem to get better as the year goes on. Yes, I remember the melt-down at the end of last season because of injuries, but the bowl game showed our resiliency  and ability to bounce back after what seemed like a colossal breakdown.

The UL coach could be a politician  to build up the Teddy for Heisman watch with the spin he put on the OHIO pick of Teddy's pass.

Seems the receiver ran the wrong route and had he run the correct one there may have been a completion? What a bunch of BS.  Where would OUr Bobcat have been--somewhere else?  Our guy catches the ball--the receiver would have had to play defensive back to keep the pass from being picked.  It looked on the camera angle that had Teddy hefted it long it might have been another TD for them but then perhaps OUr guy fell off coverage and played the ball.

During the 2nd half the announcer buys into the Spin.  And that is how the media turns a definate pick off the arm of a Heisman candidnate into no pick because it was really the receivers fault with no credit to the player who made the pick.

I'd like to see a play later in the season where there is a numerous player effort to tackle Teddy and when he is stopped someone decides to rip his helmet off--think there would be a few pissed off UL Fans.  The coach should sit that Thug for a game--ya we got 15 yards but if someone can be ejected for going after a head during a tackle than someone should be ejected for yanking off a helmet too--that's not football.

It didn't help that Aaron Stone was parading up and down the sideline in front of the OZone during the BG game, trying to pretend that he's somebody.

Also, MonroeClassmate, are you able to find a video clip of that Charlie Strong quote?

It's what he said during the ESPN young lady interviewing him on the way to the lockerroom at the half.

Not BS at, that is exactly what happened. Both the inside and outside receiver went vertical, and it looked like Bridgewater was throwing an out to the inside receiver. After the play, I caught the outside receiver getting on the inside receiver about a wrong route.

I'm not as upset today as I was yesterday.  I always get over it.  I was at Ohio when Knorr was coach.....have definitely seen worse!

Right now I am most concerned to see how the team responds.  If they come put and play like that again next week against North Texas (no offense to the Mean Green) I will be much more concerned.

What's with the Aaron animus?  Your 695 appears to do more for Ohio University than well over 99% of friends, students, staff, alumni.
