We did want we needed to do...plain and simple this week, get the win.
With 6 starters out of 22, 30%, we righted the ship.

Impressed with Lucas, Powell and McQueen. Kids went the distance and played well. Depth is a great thing.

I believe continual improvement should be the theme for this year.

. Curtis also played on the O-line and Watson played some last week.

The D-line is where improvement is needed especially at DE. Cato will tear us apart if we have no pressure. Laseak and Sayles are young....Sayles has the size we need. Supposed starters Smith and Branz need to step up as well.

All this is true.  And while there were facets of our play (turnovers, penalties) which irked me, I think that we will remedy those facets and will improve significantly over the year.

I'm concerned, though, about some things which would seem to be more about coaching.  These things can easily be remedied.  And they would seem important both for winning this year and for exciting recruits about coming to play at Ohio.  So, I'd like to see two back sets some times on offense.  I'd also like to see more four wideout sets.  And I'd like to see us play at a fast pace more often.  (Please note the diff between getting to the line quickly and actually snapping ball quickly.)  When we do it, it seems to get our guys going.

I'm not sure why, but but I thought I saw Branz on the sidelines without pads.
