You can see a lot of different combos in the pics that CMoney posted to the
Is my clock working thread. There is no reason to repost them all here. In general I liked the combos where the pants and helm matched. Thus, I liked Green-White-Green, or White-Green-White. I also like white-white-white and green-green-green. The combos that were shirt and helm matching, with opposite pants in general I didn't like as well, whether it was green-green-white, or white-white-green. I also didn't care for matching shirt and pant without a matching helmet. I definitely like the matte green helms better than the old glossy green ones.
The black? It should be all black or nothing black.
I agree, the options where the helmet and pants don't match don't work. With 3 uniforms (green, black, white) we have 27 combo options. if you eliminate the mismatched helmets/pants options you're down to 9.
From those 9 you have 6 for home game options (based off of the green jerseys and black jerseys), and 3 for the away games (based off of the white jerseys). However, the black helmets/pants don't work with the classic style green jerseys or white jerseys so you're left with 7 usable combos, 5 home, 2 away.
5 Home options-
Black Jerseys with G, B or W helmets/pants combos
Green Jerseys with G or W helmets/pants combos
2 Away options
White Jerseys with G or W helmets/pants combos
We wore all 7 of these combos last year.
I don't know if it was done on purpose but we've very smartly built a uniform collection that gives us 7 usable options that look good, offer variety, but share a consistency. Very well done.
If we were to add a 4 uniform combo into the mix I would be in favor of something over the top that can't be mixed and matched with the other 3. We have the solid foundation, time to do something crazy. That's the problem with Miami's uniforms, its their every day option, something like those should be in addition to a foundation of uniforms like we've collected.
