After watching several games this weekend I noticed how trite the death-bell has become on opponents' third downs.  I'm glad we don't use it.  But instead of the repetitive "Let's make noise," how about everybody in the crowd yelling "Bongggggg."  We'd probably get more people involved that way.

Or have a lot of people rush out of the stands to head back to their rooms, put a towel under the door and......

They used a bell last night but it wasn't the bell everyone else in the country is using.

I like how Ohio's Marching 110 plays between the plays and not a bunch of noise they call music over the PA.  All the other college teams play loud music over the PA between plays like the pros do.. Maybe the pros do this cause they don't have the marching bands.  Everyone should dump the music and get back to using their band.

We already do that at the start of the 3rd quarter.

How about everyone in the stands get up off their butts, move their in arms in a motion so that both of their hands come together and emit an audible sound?

Agreed. College football is about the pageantry of cheerleaders, band, tailgating, etc. I like that we make the band a big part of the gameday experience.

I love the band's 3rd down song...and then the bells that we play when the band's on the field are good too. I just wish a few more of our fans felt it was OK to actually stand up and make some noise.

I've long stated I'm in favor of en masse awkward dancing. It would freak the opposing offense the bleep out.

Isn't this what WMU's coach is trying to do right now?

I'm going to be honest. I never actually read that article about their coach. I just watched the .gif of him dancing like an idiot and posted a non-sequitur on that thread.

Something different for oppo's third downs?

How 'bout stopping them but not having the override of getting penalized such that they get first down?

Not sure where to put this comment so I guess this will do.

Was anyone else as surprised as me that the team came out of the tunnel was less than motivating??

I was so impressed with Louisvilles intro...

Also.. No way any human being in that stadium could read the half time stats....Size 8 font

I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse on this one but come on.....  Our vidoe graphics, music and intro had about as much excitement as funeral music playing in the background.

Oh, And where were the $150K in improved concession stands.... I saw the vendors in the stands wearing backpacks with water in them.  Pretty cool.. However, the TV's were not airing the game, the food appeared to be the same.

Maybe the $150K went into the pepsi trailer added in the endzone.   I hope they move that for televised games.  Nothing looks better than a portable trailer...

That's the only change I could see. That, plus about a third of the concession windows on the student side were not open. That made for some very long lines!

There definitely seemed to be more options, but not positive (I managed to snag a veggie burger), and there were registers at all the stands speeding things up for sure. Them countin' machines ain't cheap.

My fiancee told me there was a funnel cake station under one of the corner sections. Can anyone verify?

I saw a funnel cake.  When my wife went to get one, they were out.

A lot of that has to do with our video board being the size of a 32 inch TV mounted on brick pillars. It's very outdated and small. Our sound system is similarly past it's prime. Louisville had a massive video board and a sound system that absolutely blasted your eardrums. It's a different world at the BCS level.
