Good Win. North Texas has a good football history and this is a meaningful win.  TT needs to settle down.  Interior line needs to mature.  I'm a little out of touch....is Beau injured.. or... is he paying for last week's performance?  Boykin did well.  Forward from here.  Marshall will be difficult.

Beau and Boykin typically share the load, but last year Boykin was hurt, so Beau had to take extra carries. This will work better over the course of a long season.

For the most part, I'm not as concerned now as I was before the game.  T2 seemed to be a lot more comfortable with the O line and it showed in his command of the game.  Very few ill-advised passes or panic plays.

Even though the O line had trouble opening holes early on, they began to wear out a more senior NT D line in the 4th Q.  It resulted in the two long drives for FGs.

My zero confidence level in Matt Green went below zero after he missed the first try, but I like that he came back with two pressure makes in the 4th.

Saw nice pressure at times from the D line, although Thompson too often had too much time to throw.  Cato next week might take better advantage of that.

Some concerns:

Too many turnovers.  Luckily, they evened out.

Too many penalties (10 for 90 yds).

Somewhat concerned about Travis Carrie on punt returns.  Fumbled away one; nearly lost another.  Maybe Daz should be back there.

Ball State next week, could this game be a gauge?

For what it is worth...Jason Arkley did say that Coach Solich mentioned a 'minor' leg issue for Beau.

Boykin was great for us in this game.

Help me out here. Why doesn't Tyler run anymore?

Well over 600 yards as a sophomore, 250 or so as a junior and -24 through two games as a senior. I thought, because of his ribs, they didn't allow him to run last year but I don't get what they are doing now.

It may have something to do with the O line issues.  Last week they got the ball out of T2's hands as quickly as possible, even on pass plays, because of the O line injuries.  Last night he held onto it a little more and had a few sprint outs.  We should see more of him moving around as they get more comfortable with the O line.

I think the penalties were at least partially a result of those refs. They made a large amount of questionable calls both ways

NT was a Bobcat Victory, so I am very happy.

Now it is time to beat the Herd.

this one felt like UMass last year where it seemed like we were bound and determined to the absolute least we could do to get a win.

There's no way Frank would blow out his good friend who is trying to build a team that compete on the road.  I wonder how much of it that played into our performance, and how much of it was just our own ineptitude.

Zero.. Friends or not Solich wants to win the game.  The friendship would prevent Solich from running up the score if he was up by three TD's in the 4th quarter, not letting North Texas stick around all night to build their  confidence and have a shot at winning in the 4th quarter.
