Saw this on bobcat28's thread and wondered if The Bobcat Nation has Matt Weller Anxiety Syndrome yet.
Green was 2 for 6 when Solich opted to "go for it" on the 4th and a few around the 20. Not much confidence in "Big Country" He's been all over the place. Granted he had the game winner but the two he kicked were almost a 2 for 8 day. third attempt was barely in from our vantage point in the endzone. He almost pushed it too far' luckily it was about 6-8inches inside the bar. The ensuing touchdown saw his PAT almost sail away and after the last TD he pulled the other way and was about 6" in on the left bar.
From our seats in the grass during pre-game "Lil Country" (Amicone) was dead center from everywhere, think he was 6 for 6 or maybe 7 for 7. Green was at best 4 for 6 maybe 3 for six. Coach Haines had them both under watchfull eye or so it seemed. Word from a WR at Roney's late was that Amicon's the most consistant but at 5-6, 5-7 and a buck 80 he look's diminutive next to the 6'3'225 Green. But who gives a crap! he's not gonna run the ball or lead a block thru the hole. IF HE's MONEY ON THE STUFF THAT WINS THE CLOSE ONES.... LET HIM KICK !
Saw on another thread his recruiting YouTube stuff. The kid's played in some big games, looks like he set Ohio High School records and was ranked 6th in the country in K/Os for touchbacks in the 2012 Recruiting class. If I'm the Coach and my go to guy is 2 for 6, it's time to go for the consistent guy, no matter how big he is!

Weller spoiled us for sure......he was money. It could be "Kicker By Committee" this year but that's OK. The Syracuse kid could get healty and surprise.....the other 3 as mentioned have their ups and downs. I guess I'm in the minority but it seems to me Green has the strongest leg.....didn't say most accurate....and as Coleman has pointed out ya gotta love the last name.

I don't worry so much on PATs -- Green hasn't missed yet. FGs before the 4th qtr make me anxious (he's only 1 of 5), but he's 3 for 3 in the 4th qtr, so at least he can kick under pressure.
