Herd Nation can not be happy tonight! They just lost their Super Bowl against us.

Go Bobcats!

Herd Nation message board is in complete meltdown.

On another note, was it just me or did the crowd seem smaller than last week? I also felt like Marshall did not bring as many fans this year. They had the one corner end zone which seats 2,500 and a few more scattered throughout. Although by tomorrow they will be claiming at least 12,000 Marshall fans were there.

it got chilly so some people left because of that (students, girl keeps saying "I'm cold!", have to leave) and also it didn't start until 8.

It was definitely cold...way too cold for mid-September if you ask me!

But judging by the reactions and antics of their players, it may as well been there Super Bowl. After 2 straight L's, they seemed pretty hyped up pregame. Then football happened...

Marshall would be better off if they did consider it their super bowl.

Was sarcasm on my part since many Herd fans think we consider them OUr Super Bowl...

Serious question...how many wins over them will it take before their fans start respecting us? It's honestly amazing how out of touch some of their fans are.

They are slow on the uptake. Blame it on the in-breading.

I was sitting in the student section and it CLEARED OUT after halftime. Worst I've seen it clear out in YEARS, and the last time I saw it like that was in a blowout.

not our super bowl by any means. Met some nice bobcat fans in 106, had a lot of fun. But you cant give a team 4 turnovers on the road and expext to win. Only losing by 3 is dumbfounding, giving the circumstances. Good luck to you the rest of the season

Part of losing by three has to do with the gift TD the Bobcat defense offered the Herd on a silver platter at the end of the 4th Q, the one where #26 was WIDE OPEN inside the five yard line because of totally blown coverage by the 'Cats.

If we're going to speak of gifts, we have to remember ALL the gifts.

I'll bet they respond with renewed effort and a positive attitude toward winning.  I sure wouldn't want to be Virginia Tech next week.
