On the bright side, after the Marshall game we have Austin Peay, a Bye Week and then Akron. That some quality injury healing time before we get into the more difficult part of the MAC schedule.

A win here would be SO big... Not to discount those programs, but it is easy to see how we could get to 4-1 heading into homecoming if we can just win tomorrow....
Big game.

BEAT MARSHALL.

Re-watched much of the NTexas:  We are really young on the O and D lines, especially D...TT has to lead by encouraging, not griping...need to see more athleticism from our receivers.

We ran a play with a fake handoff, then TT rolling out right and throwing.  Gotta think that will continue to give TT lotsa time to throw.

Lucas Powell is your favorite player.

They say that teams improve the most between weeks 1 & 2.  Well, with the injuries against L'ville, last week was really week 1 for this O line.  I expect them to be even better tonight.

Beat Terd!!!

I don't want to jinx anything but I've never seen Ohio tackle as well as they are so far tonight.

Marshall is a good team though.  Talented on offense and strong on the DL.  It'll be a dogfight even if Ohio continues playing well.

Vick. That what happens when you keep the ball on the read option. If Tettleton ever wants to do that again it will open everything up.

Partly that was because Marshall ran everything at Devin Bass, and he's always been a sure tackler. I'm not sure how many he had, but I know it was double digits.

If Bass and X Hughes are not playing at All-MAC level, then I'd like to see what playing at that level is.

Bass getting challenged a lot--a real lot.  Hughes making all kinds of sure tackles.

He's only 5-9, 185, too, about the same size Idris Lawrence was.

Leading Tacklers were all DBs and Linebackers
Devin Bass 11
Ben Russell 10
Jovon Johnson 7
Nate Carpenter 6
Josh Kristoff 5
Xavier Hughes 5
Travis Carrie 4
Thad Ingol 4

Does Mr. Basham get a pass defended for the play he dropped off? Very T. Scott like.

That opening drive of the third quarter showed me something. The sign of a team starting to put it together. It'd be nice if Ohio can get out to big lead against Austin Peay and let Vick play for an entire half. He deserves a good long stretch of snaps. He was great on his one drive.

I don't know what to say that hasn't been said already. That was as solid and complete performance from the Bobcats as I could have hoped for. Was it perfect? No. But top to bottom, I am pleased..

Hard to believe we gave up 116 yards rushing. Did not feel like that many. D line played well except for a couple of breakdowns in pass rush. Please keep testing Mr. Bass, opposing teams, because he is turning into something special.

O really came together in that second half. Tettleton the baller was back, and that receiving corps was clutch. Line is getting better....still not there yet, but definitely better. I don't know why we don't run outside more.

Special teams......can't complain here too much after the KO touchdown and winning the field position battle all game. Mr. Green has to get some better confidence. He has the leg....he just needs to get it together.

Terd fans with the guts to show up.....you need to read this.

Oh, I do have one complaint.....students, I realize that 3/4 of you have never known us to lose to Terd, but I promise that it is a rivalry, and if you really really really really really must drink after halftime, spend just a little bit of effort on sneaking alcohol into the stadium. It isn't difficult.

Per Arkley's Twitter feed, in post game comments Solich said about Devin Bass "he's a tough, tough son of a gun". Coming from Solich, that's very high praise.

Edit - I note that in the MAC statistics, Bass is #1 in the MAC in passes defended, with 5 passes deflected an a pick, for a total of 6.
