Gee, I thought we were still officially an FBS team for at least one more year.  What's Mid-major in NCAAF?

Since you didn't like that term, I edited it to call it "other FBS teams"

+1  LC as no doubt not seen my annual diatribes on this subject on the basketball forum.

Am I crazy to think that BG is going to house the Hoosiers by a couple of touchdowns?

I like Idle's chances against Fiami, even without getting any points.

Woo, the boys in Vegas and the betters are really eating the Rakeem Cato cake this week. It's already moved from 7 to 8 in one day.

Stony Brook was shut out until 11:07 remaining and tied the game at 10 with 29 seconds left. Neither team scored in third or fourth overtimes. Buffalo had 349 yards of offense in a five-overtime game.

North Texas with an 18-0 second-half advantage for a one-touchdown lead on Ball State with 2:56 to go. Northern Illinois tied 35-35 with winless Idaho (which lost 40-6 to North Texas) in fourth quarter.

Buffalo picked off SB to star the 3rd OT before fumbling on first down. SB picked UB to start OT #4 but missed the game winning field goal. Certainly battle of attrition.

It seems I drank the BG Kool-Aid prematurely. Losing to IU by 32 is never acceptable.

Our win was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal day for the MAC.

Only Ohio and NIU beat 1A schools today (CMU's trailing by 10 late at UNLV).  Akron (and maybe EMU) had close losses to AQ schools.

But

Toledo & Buffalo had too-close-for-comfort games vs. good 1AA schools.
BSU blew an 18-pt lead at NT and lost.
Kent, WMU, BGSUcks and UMass were blown out by AQs.

So the MAC is 4-7 for the day (likely 4-8), 2-7 vs 1As and 0-6 vs AQs.

And how bad has it gotten for WMU?  Nicholls St, which beat them in Kalamazoo last week, lost by 63 to LA-Laf (they also lost by 63 at Oregon in week 1).

Geesh...if I'm Nicholls State, I'm firing the schedule-maker. Three straight games vs. FBS?? Wow.

Depends how badly they needed the money. That's three nice paydays in a row.

Toledo QB Terrance Owens left the game early with a knee injury, supposedly a dislocated knee cap. He is expected to be OK.
