There was discussion last week about T^2's arm strength/technique. Those slants sure had the right amount of zip on them. If we can get some consistency in our fade routes to keep opposing D from cheating to the inside, that isht is going to be there all season long.....
Play 7 or fewer in the box? OK, we'll run and chew clock.
Move the safeties up for run and slant support? OK, we'll throw deep over the middle and take the easy 6.
Keep the safeties back with corners on the inside? OK, here's a fade, move the chains.
All those throws were right into what he can do, his limitations are seen when he is forced to throw that 10/15 yard out to the wide side of the field, or that 20+ yard dig route over the middle. Passes of medium to long length that require some zip. The slants and short stuff, Tyler does quite well, always has. Marshall for some reason the past three years have given TT those routes. Ball State, BG, and especially Kent, takes those throws away by alignment and force the offense into some things they are not as good at.
