Virginia Tech is designing a stone helmet to match the stone on the VT campus. In this college uniform arms race - is OHIO designing an Athens Brick helmet for our game against Fiami? Will both teams wear the same helmet (bitch stole my look)? Can we get back to playing football instead of Project Runway? Here's their stupid prototype:

After watching Marshall play......seeing their QB yelling at the coaches constantly....and perusing the inane talk of their fans and Landon....it looks like Marshall's helmet should read...."One Brick Short of a Load."

I guess they gotta do something to make fans forget they were 7-6 last year.

I don't think we will see bricks on the helmets.

I am not surprised to see VT break out special uniforms for this game.  I mean it is against Marshall and everyone knows that makes it Tech's Superbowl.

Sorry I cant let it go.

Virginia Tech has worn at least a dozen different helmets the past two years.  Some of these are an Epic Fail
in my book.

Like most, I really like the bricks in Athens and have an Athens Block Brick here in my house.  However, many schools have lots of bricks.  I don't think the brown scheme would look go on helmets.

With that said, the Hokie Stone helmets might look good under the sun or lights for a night game.  The Hokie Stone is  very prevalent around campus, very distinctive and probably more unique than a typical campus.

Hmm, Bobcat Grad 86, the Tech brick looks allot like what we have here in Milwaukee - it's called Cream City Brick. I laughed my ass off when I first moved here (because of the name). No really, we call ourselves "The Cream City". The color is because of our soil. I thought it had something to do with the dairy industry at first. I love Athens brick, but not on the helmet . I'm still pissed that they put blacktop on Jeff Hill.

Why?  Because they can.

Maryland is trying to become the Oregon of the east I think:

It's great that they're honoring something that has so much meaning to VTers.

But it still reminds me of this:
