Attendance:  will be impacted greatly by whether it rains or not.  Weather forecasters can't seem to agree on what will happen Saturday.  I usually rely on local forecasters.  WSAZ in Huntington is predicting that there will be scattered storms over the region but that they will tend to happen early in the day.

I'll take the optimistic route and say rain won't be a factor.  I'll predict 19,265 paid attendance.  Parents Weekend will help, but this crowd won't be anywhere near as big as for the first two games.

Ohio 33, Austin Peay 10.  Gotta be careful about disrespecting this opponent.  On paper, they do not appear to be very good, but any program on the I-A or I-AA level has enough talent to be problematic.

Austin Peay is towards the bottom of 1-AA...let's not kid ourselves. They were non-scholarship just a few years ago. Not saying they don't have some talent - but anything shy of a solid victory would be a disappointment.

I'm going with 41-7 Ohio and 21,948 for attendance. Despite the obviously lackluster opponent, Parents' Weekend is usually enough for a solid crowd...here's to good weather!

Weather looks like it will be clearing by kickoff but it might be a wet morning. Should be a great afternoon regardless.

48-7 Cats.  21,804 see this game that will last two hours and be decided midway through the 2nd quarter.  The Governors will see a healthy dose of Vick and Boykin.

I watched Cincinnati throttle AP 72-10 just a couple of years ago.  Right now, the spread is 28.  I find that remarkably low.

If you think they have a clue what it's going to do on Saturday, I've got some land for sale...

Twenty years ago I didn't put much stock in the weather forecast for the current day. These days the five day forecast is usually pretty close.

I'll call it 38-10 over Peay.

I think TT will play for the first two or three series. Scoring a passing TD, rushing TD (from Beau), and a field goal. Vick will come out and clean up and score two TD's himself, and Boykin will get in on the fun as well. Don't forget about the two weeks in a row of a non-offensive touchdowns we've had. I feel that streak will continue another week!

I believe we will win 45-13! The game will be over by halftime, and the 110 will finish their show only to throw on the 'Cats uniforms and finish the game.

I'd love to see us pitch a shutout.  I know Coach is, properly, much more concerned about player development than shutouts, so we'll see lots of back-ups play--which could lead to offense by Peay.

I just want our avg points given up per game to start being low...very low.  BIG D.

By not very good on paper, Jeff means AP is 4-29 against division 1 (A or AA) teams since 2010...And has won 1 road game in that span, which was over 3 years...and has only kept it within 23 points a grand total of 6 times, against Tennessee St, SE Missouri State x 2, Jacksonville State, Eastern Illinois x 2.

As you can see, AP has a long history of close games against storied football programs.  There is no reason to think we can duplicate the success that teams like Chatanooga, Murray State, Tenn-Martin & Tennessee Tech...who all beat AP by much more than 23.

41-14 OHIO over AP.

Announced attendance of 21,122. Butts in seats closer to 18,445 due to combination of weather and non-quality opponent.

OHIO 59
APSU 10

The only real question in this game is if OHIO will beat APSU by a larger margin than Ohio State will beat Florida A&M.  Usually, I would take the PoisonNuts in a case like this, but Austin Peay is winless and Florida A&M has actually won a game.

Weather forecast was decent until today...but, the forecast for Saturday afternoon has deteriorated considerably.  Now rain is forecast for the entire day until evening.  We will see if that actually materializes.  If it does, I'm thinking it will be a very, very sparse crowd...only saving grace will be that many tickets have already been sold and will be counted in attendance figures.

Rain in the forecast should be a marketing opportunity. $3 green ponchos at the gate, or buy one get one free. keep people dry and in green.

'Cats will roll. But, AP still has the best chant out there ... "Let's go Peay!"

Of course, in this age, that chant is probably banned by the NCAA.

Thank you, Mr. Gloom and Doom Man.  You are on a roll.
