I just called and requested FREE tickets to Akron..

Here is the email I received a little while ago.

THIS JUST IN...As a thank you for being loyal fans, Ohio Athletics is offering football season ticket holders the opportunity to attend Ohio's upcoming road games for FREE!

You can request up to the same number of free tickets as you have for Ohio football season tickets. Currently the following games are open for requests:

Ohio at Akron (Sat, October 5): Request tickets by Mon, September 30
Ohio at Eastern Michigan (Sat, October 19): Request tickets by Mon, October 14

Tickets may also become available for Ohio’s two remaining road games at Buffalo and Bowling Green. Additional communication will be distributed if these games become available.

To secure your complimentary tickets, call the Ohio Athletics Ticket Office at 800-575-2287 by the deadlines listed above.

Wow, They give refunds on previous orders.. Cool..

I have always wanted to check a game out at Akron since they built the new stadium. Now I just have to convince my wife going to Akron on her B-Day is a good idea.

Same here. If you ordered already, just call and they will refund you.

Apparently it was in question whether this program would continue...they just got the tickets from Akron today.

Predictions on if we outnumber EMU fans?

+1 for me for both the BG and EMU games...got to take advantage of the proximity. Half hour drives to both will be a nice break from the 4 hour trips to Athens every home game.

I lived in Marietta at the time I set up my username. I moved to Toledo in May of last year and actually live about two blocks from the University of Toledo. I can walk to the Glass Bowl easily from home, hence the location on my posts.

Oh yea, I didn't notice that.

You think Ohio and Toledo will be back on the schedule next year?

I thought they'd be back on the schedule this year, so I think next year we should see the Rockets back on the schedule. The last game was in Peden in I believe 2010. So I believe the next one should be up here.

If anyone has Akron tickets they aren't going to use, I could definitely use a pair.

Yeah, in terms of West Division opponents, we should face Toledo and WMU in 2014 (who we haven't played since 2008)
