Saw an Appalachian State branded beer in Asheville right before COVID. Thought it was a great idea. Glad to see we're now doing that here too.

Awesome! And as far as I know, Jackie O's is available across the whole state of Ohio, or at least certainly where I live. Are there any other Ohio schools with a similar partnership? I certainly haven't seen any.

Dayton has had a beer for a couple of years, a partnership between its collective (Dayton 6th) and Warped Wing.

My beer of choice during my Athens days was Old Dutch.

Seems like a good Rickey Hunt NIL opportunity. Ricky—>28Rickey. Make it happen.

Penguin City Brewing has some pretty cool cans for Youngstown State.

Back in the day, Old Dutch draft at the Fairview in Lancaster was 20 cents a pop. Bud drafts were 25 cents. It was Old Dutch for me.

They might want to wait a little while for that. Rickey was born 12/2004, so he's still only 19. Not sure his best NIL agreement would be for a beer.

Oh absolutely. In-stadium cans, 100% should be marketed towards him.

While this is a great thought, I believe that in Ohio, Student Athletes are unable to sign direct deals with "Any company or brand that manufactures, markets, sells, or is associated with a controlled substance, marijuana product, medical marijuana product, alcoholic product, tobacco product, electronic smoking device, vapor product, or product or device that consists of or contains nicotine that can be ingested into the body".

They are able to get around this using collectives, but it looks like direct deals are sadly a no go.

Rhinegheist in Cincinnati has a beer where the proceeds go directly to the UC Bearcats athletes, as part of their partnership with UC's NIL Cincy Reigns.

Surprisingly, out of all the schools that could have one, I don't see one specifically geared toward Ohio State. Land Grant Brewing should be all over this.

One of the Land Grant guys graduated from OU.

Ohio State is MUCH more frivolous with lawsuits. Not too surprised they wouldn't even take the time to micromanage something like a beer, but could definitely see something like Bud(keye) Light.
