One name that I don’t understand how it can still be on there is Walter Reynolds. Maybe it was a mistake and he just wasn’t taken off, but he should be all out of eligibility based on his career stats. He plays three full season at Holy Cross in 2019 (13 games), 2021 (13 games) and 2022 (12 games), plus he played in 4 games in the spring of 2021 which was the FCS’s wash for Covid 2020), and he one full season at Ohio in 2023 (13 games). That’s 4 complete seasons in a 6-year window. I don’t see how he can be back.

Anyway, a few other names were back on the roster. Jacoby Jones appears he will be back with Ohio (I heard he could be a portal jumper if he wants to go). Keegan Wilburn (who entered the portal) is back on the roster. Torrie Cox entered the portal and returned as we knew about, so he’s back. Justin Holloway entered the portal but is back on the roster too. Another transfer is on the roster in Jacob Lewis. He is coming from Minnesota and transferred there from Ball State.

He's apparently grown 6 inches in the intervening years, so the position change seems reasonable. ;)

In other news:
1. It was reported that Stevens and Oseni had left the team, but they still show on the roster, so perhaps they have changed their minds.
2. Wilburn is still listed, but was reportedly in the portal. Might be back.
3. Wood was a 6th year last year, so I wasn't sure he would be back. He is not only back, he apparently has a lot more years now, and is a Freshman again.
4. As mentioned above, Holloway is back on the roster, but like Wood, is now a Freshman again. ;)
5. Cisse and Doggette, transfers from the portal also have become Freshmen again ;)
6. A number of December signees are listed, so they apparently will be at Spring practice: Hurst, Dorwart, Cremascoli, Brune, Segarra, AJ Miller, Ehret, and Bowman.
7. A couple players seem to have left, Sohi and Arter, as I don't see them on the roster.

A lot of the roster is messed up the official 2024 roster will probably not be fully updated for like a month. Nife Oseni, Keegan Wilburn, Dontay Hunter, Major Brown, Jared Wheatley, Walter Reynolds, Justin Holloway, Dylan Stevens, Cam Dorsey, Jay Amburgey, Joe Oakes, and Dane Middlebrook are all listed on the roster still but are all not on the team anymore due to various reasons such as being out of eligibility or have just stepped away and are finishing school or have already finished school and have jobs.

That's a huge loss. What he's done the last few years with that room is/was transformative.

Don’t like to see this but I know he’s not getting any younger. Did he just retire or get a new job?

But... the Portal has ruined football.

The NIL stuff is one thing, but the combo of the two is chaos. The ability to commit to a school on Monday, decommit Thursday, and commit elsewhere Friday is bananas.

I never liked the sit a full year penalty, but one semester might make some people stop and think before signing AND before leaving. You only get half the games, if you choose to pirouette all over the country. As well as my imaginary rule of making students earn credits before transferring, to maintain football eligibility. You can still be a student.

Well that sucks.

But as everyone has pointed out WR room is our deepest position room.

It’s possible we will be OK on offense and OUr defense will make or break us.

In the end, Ohio is going to end up with a group of players what actually wants to be at Ohio, and I think it will be a pretty good team.

As far as WR, Ohio still has Hendrick, Harris, and Jones, all of whom could be starters. They also have Owen and Rodarte, plus several other returnees. To add to those, two highly rated Freshmen, Hurst and Dorwart, are already on the roster, and may be at Spring camp.

Also, let's not forget folks that we are losing/lost our WR coach (per "The Insider") who's been at OU for like 100 years. I would assume that has to play a part in this. I'm sure it's an uneasy feeling when you don't have or know who will be your next coach. Just saying.

Looks like the roster has been updated once again, removing many of the names mentioned above. It's still not complete by any means but appears more accurate.

Removed: Nife Oseni, Keegan Wilburn, Dontay Hunter, Major Brown, Jared Wheatley, Walter Reynolds, Justin Holloway, Dylan Stevens, Cam Dorsey, Jay Amburgey, Joe Oakes, and Dane Middlebrook

As it currently stands, the roster has 98 players on it, not including a lot of the incoming freshman.
