While I'm as bummed as the rest of you, and in my typical fashion avoided BA like the plague yesterday, on reviewing the thread topic's I cannot help but think that Saturday is being over-thought by most here.  The data says that with two teams that are of largely a similar talent and resource base, a -3 TO ratio team will nearly always lose.  Considering the data we were probably largely very fortunate to be ahead prior to TC's muff.

Can there be improvement across the board...sure.  Would those improvements here and there overcome a -3...likely and nearly always not.  Quite simply, we Akron'ed ourselves.  It sux, no doubt.  Now on to Eastern.

Consider that Central missed two field goals and had their quarterback miss a wide open receiver in the end zone. Central left a lot of points off the board that would have made the score a lot worse than it was.
