Here's a game by game comparison of the offensive and defensive outputs:

              Tot Offense     yds/play      First Downs
Louisville -      273           4.6             13
NTSU -            442           6.3             20
Marshall -        335           4.5             19
Peay -            494           7.2             22
Akron -           362           5.6             22
CMU -             439           6.3             25

             Total Defense    yds/play      First Downs
Louisville        615           8.7             25
NTSU              299           4.5             14
Marshall          482           6.1             28
Peay              298           4.7             13
Akron             157           2.4             14
CMU               462           5.9             22

The Offense does seem to be improving, and this was one of their better games (other than turnovers). On the other hand, the defense, after having a great game against Akron, didn't have one of its better days.

OK, CMU do overs on two FGs, now Ohio gets do overs on one fumble deep and one int deep and it gets better.  Monroe, this is playground silly

No, your total, 100%, absolute, unfailing persistence in following the party line is silly.

At some point, there is room for a bit of criticism.  It is not possible for the staff and team to be absolutely right every time.

Except in your mind.

Lets not forget we may have one if if not the fastest wide receiver in the MAC. Yet we target him 3 to 4 times per game. Say you target him 8 times and we only connect on 5. I would call this a higher percent play than our current 1st down play.
