The article says "may be lost for the year".  Doesn't mean he will definitely be out.  Has there been any word since?

Scott made it back for a bowl.  Hope Ty can make a like recovery.  He has been special.  Like Scott Ty was set to be All-MAC, not to be.  The youngsters had him to emulate.  Athens is a long ways from York, Nebraska. Hope this does not nag him long term.

History is repeating itself with all the injuries during the season with a slew of guys back for the bowl game. The rule is you're allowed to play until you're third game of the season before taking a medical redshirt and after that its too late. The work around is getting healthy for the championship game or bowl to finish the season on a good note.

He and Matt Waters have been two of the most productive Junior College players in recent memory. Very tough loss.

Ohio should be going the junior college route more often on the lines than aiming to have all the guys 5th year seniors who are all banged up over a 5-6 year career. Those guys go down and they guys behind them don't have the snaps. It would make more sense to elevate a couple of juniors or junior college guys to the first string and have a couple 5th year guys come off the bench to maintain continuity of performance. If you've got an all first team MAC tackle he's got to be out there in the starting lineup but I question bringing a bunch of guys battling injury right back into the first string like John Prior was for a high impact test.

Ohio has gone the juco route at least a few times on the defensive line, and brought in guys like Corey Moncrief, Alan Goff, Kadre Pinder, Ty Branz, and now McLeod and Tautuiaki. Branz is easily the most productive so far, but McLeod and Tautuiaki both look good so far.
