Not good. 184 to one guy last week and 257 to one guy this week. That is absolutely horrible. I know 90% of this board will rush to justify that by saying, "Hey, we won. Why would anyone be concerned?". But, this will kill our chances of a conference championship, if it hasn't already with the loss to CMU last week. NIU has to be praying we somehow back into Detroit so they can win it again.

I agree. The D looked awesome at the start (except Louisville) but seem to have lost something the past couple of weeks. What is it? Playing too loose? Seems like anyone can complete a 10 yard pass at any time. The run D has certainly gone backwards.

i agree the run defense has been bad the last few weeks, but this statement is just plain ignorant. If Ohio makes it to the MAC championship game, the team will probably have to win out and finish 7-1 in the MAC. If they get there, they will deserve it. There won't be any "backing in" to the championship game.

No chance to back in?  Bugs loses to Toledo, Buffalo and OHIO.  Beefs lose to Toledo and OHIO and OHIO loses to Kent and OHIO didn't back in?

If you win more games than the other teams in the division or get the tiebreakers because you beat the best competition head-to-head, it is not backing in.

That's the response to the EMU post game talk up to this point.
