OH MY GOD THAT WAS HORRIBLE WE GAVE UP 315 YARDS RUSHING!!!!!!!

Hmmm, but we held EMU to 162 yard passing. Not bad, not bad....

YEAH BUT ONCE AGAIN WE DIDN'T HAVE A RUNNING BACK OVER 100 YARDS!!!!

And we had 2 players with more than 100 receiving yards, and 10 different players catch a pass.....

YEAH BUT IT WAS 21-21 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE THIRD QUARTER!!!!!!!

And 56-28 at the end of the fourth quarter.

We gave up 28 points to EMU.

But we doubled-up on them.

Works for me.

It was a very strange game to watch.  Just when I was convinced we had the most stale offense around, it exploded.

Maybe we need to come out and be a pass-first offense the next few games.

JD Sprague looked good late.  But, who didn't at that point.

Agree.  Ohio looks dominant in stretches and stale in others.  Right now, they are lacking consistency over 4 quarters.  The offense can be explosive, especially with the weapons we have at receiver.

I do think the game may have been different if early in the 3rd quarter that fumble by EMU would have kicked in the end zone rather than go right to their back, who picked it up and went for five yards.  They ended up scoring that drive.

I have been saying that all year. The offensive line seems to do good at pass protection, but just doesn't have the strength to knock defensive lines backward. This idea of running it up the gut with Tyler not being a threat to run has killed drive after drive this year.

Happy with the result, but not with how long it took to ice this game away.

I actually thought the previous play was a safety.

i was standing directly on that goal line, and as the player was going down, you could see the ball just pop out to the one. It was a really smart play by the RB.

We lost last week.  We moved on.  The kids have my support.

My two cents: We all love and support the Bobcats or we wouldn't be on here. It's okay to criticize the coaching staff or the offense or defense - that's what sports fans do. I was in the chat room this afternoon while watching the game and found some of the comments quite funny. As long as we don't attack individual players, all is in bounds. Remember, these are young men (not far from being kids) so be nice.

I'd be the first to say that while a MAC title is still possible we don't look like the favorite to win the East right now.  I hope we do. I'll still be a Bobcat forever if we don't.  I was not saying at all that you should view everything with green colored glasses or deny every fault in the team that exists.  That wasn't even close to the point.

Yes, they do get scholarships but these kids are amateurs.  We are here to support them.  You can say the running game isn't as good as it was last year but the attitude that the team owes us a blowout win over EMU and we get angry at them if they don't deliver strikes me as having lost humility and the spirit of amateur athletics.  Someday, hopefully this year, we will win the MAC again.  There is a good chance that someday we could be in EMU or Akron's shoes again.  We have been before.  There is nothing written in the fabric of the Universe that says Ohio supporters are owed a win over EMU.

I don't think that anyone at all was advocating a blowout win.  But something better than being yards away from being down 28-21 to a really bad EMU team in the mid third quarter is a reasonable request.

Personally, I look for us to play well.  Against most schools, that means we get a W.  But if we play well and lose to a better team, then I'm fine with it.  Yes, I gripe about the play against CMU and EMU because much of it was poor.  I thought that we played pretty well against NTSU, stupd cow and 'kron--and so stated.  CMU and EMU--not up to what should be OUr standards.

Contrast those who use certain stats against EMU as a measuring stick.  I hope that we are better than that.

56 points on the road in a conference game and people have objections to it. I can understand complaining about certain aspects of the performance but not the score.

Yeah, but it was a soggy, cold, sloppy nasty day.... and, no it didn't look like a safety to me, and I had a good view of that play.

A win is a win. I want another one this week.
