Some good news in his blog tonight.

  • Jon Lechner will return to the starting lineup tomorrow.
  • Sam Johnson is close to coming back. Probably @ Buffalo.
  • John Prior hopes to return for the last 4 games.
  • Derrius Vick back as the #2 QB
  • Talbert and Wells game time decisions.

Will we see Vick play if TT doesn't get hurt? Or if we were winning big, would Sprague get some action again?

The answer is probably "yes".  We might see all three tomorrow.

That's good news on guys returning.

But injuries are no excuse.  There are no excuses.

There is only the MACC title.

Injuries are obstacles to overcome. All the injuries this year on the offensive line have been unfortunate this year, but next year it will mean that there are a lot of guys coming back with experience. I would still like seeing the best 5 linemen on the field the last four games, against Buffalo, BG, Kent, and U.Mass.

If all of this holds up, I can't wait to see how we finish.

I count basically only 5 players out this week. This number is down from a few weeks back when there were 15.
If one remembers last year's injury situation...they were mounting as the season progressed, this year it's just the opposite.
It's all good.

Last I heard they were still expecting him to be out the rest of the year, but had not yet received the final MRI results to confirm that.

Saw him on crutches in street clothes today. Have to think he's done.

If you watch our team run out of the locker room, it's pretty unfortunate to see the typical 30ish players that are injured staggering out. We appear to be the "walking wounded". For some reason, I just don't see many other teams having injuries to this extent. Call me crazy, but it does seem like more than a mere coincidence.

Any word on Daz?  It didn't look too good when they helped him off the field and I don't recall seeing him back in the game.

Did you see the list from Maryland? It makes Ohio's look short. Or, you could check out WMU?

Unlike last year, most of Ohio's injuries have been 2-6 weeks, and players keep returning.
