I'm seeing a lot of media this week on how Ohio will keep last year's loss to Miami in mind when they take the field Saturday. Numerous mentions of the "devastating loss" in Oxford.
I was as crushed as anybody was at the conclusion of that debacle last year, but if time did not heal the wounds, the events over following weeks, save the obvious result one should achieve when playing Eastern Michigan, did.
Yes, Miami 2012 was unpleasant, but so were the games that followed.
I'm far more bitter about 4 blocked punts than I am about the Oxford egg.

Impossible to say what would have happened had we beaten miami last year. We might have won out, we might have lost to EMU but beaten Ball State, BGSU, and Kent, or we might have beaten EMU and lost to BGSU (4 blocked punts), Ball State, and Kent.

Lets just call it a real "unacceptable" loss that shouldn't happen again. But then again it may.

With as many people as we had go out, it was going to happen eventually.
But it was to MIAMI!

I doubt with a Miami win Ohio wins out from there. The team could have finished with 10 straight wins in back to back seasons after the bowl game though and moved up the rankings another week.
