Didn't take long for ESPN to make its choice for next week's game.

Was about to post that. I'd have to think they'll put us on the U the following week, and Buffalo/Miami on the deuce, too, based on conference records.

I dunno.  If I'm programming ESPN, which game would I rather have on my #2 network: a game between the top and bottom teams in the division that'll likely be 66-0, or a game between the third place team and the sixth place team (which also happens to be Holtz's alma mater) that could be decided by less than 10 pts.  Tough choice.

That's OK with me.  I wish last night's game was on "ESPN the Ocho"!

You have to be some kind of masochist to keep watching that game last night. Having the Cats on TV is great, playing the way they did last night is not worthy of being on TV.

I thought we played a great first half.  Their one TD was a result of the fumble where we were moving the ball in scoring position.  Clear replay shows his knee was down.  We played well enough in the first half to shut out UB and lead by double digits.  We (mentally gave up) after the safety from the four yard line.

If 3 points is your idea of great then you must be really happy we scored 7 against Louisville.

we had something like 118 yards at half time. Not great playing. So you're saying the defense played great?

When they took away the catch by Cochran and the catch knee down fumble by Waters you could add at least another 100 yards of first half offense.  Two game changing calls and its "likely" 14-0 Ohio at the half.  I think most would have called that a nice first half against a decent D on the road.  And yes, the D played great first half.  Minus the Waters fumble and its a first half shut out.

I guess BG fans are doubly pissed at us.

Too bad about ESPN3. I was hoping to do a double dip at a Court Street bar watching both the football game and basketball against Ohio State. I doubt many places can or would show an ESPN3 feed.

Some certainly have in the past - I'd call ahead, though.

Too bad it's not an option to move the game to Saturday since they pulled TV.

I would go to BG and watch it live if it was on Saturday.

Figured last night's loser would get bumped, which is the right call by ESPN. What I don't understand is why would the league agree to move multiple games to weeknight  without the assurance all of them would actually be on television? Of course, the spin is the games on ESPN3 are "televised" (wink-wink).

Maybe as part of the "expanded' coverage through TWC, the MAC can have them pick up the game ESPN dumps in the future.
