It seems that Way has started all eight games this year and is second behind Mack on the team with five sacks. Redden was third in tackles, just four behind Mack for the team lead. Carlson has missed one previous game. Bean is sixth in tackles despite missing three games.

Here is their full injury report. I'd say that the injuries to both teams are pretty comparable. The nice thing is that Ohio is getting healthier each week.

So the loss of Way would equate to Ohio's loss of Branz. Carlson would equate to Jon or Prior.

You are supposing I am making excuse for the Beefs? Irrelevant to you.  Most of the rest of us are interested.  However, if the Cats win big I would expect you to use the information to discount their performance.

I couldn't click on the link but are you sure that is this weeks injury info? I was at Quinn's press conference Tuesday and he said that Way and Bean were day to day and would most likely play Tuesday vs. Ohio.

Redden and Carlson are out for sure.

Redden is a big loss for UB because he's been great and missing Carlson hurts as well.

If Way is out, that's a big loss for Buffalo. Way is a very good player for Buffalo and underrated. He makes a lot of big plays and is good at generating pressure.

Sorry, Way and Bean are shown as questionable on the injury report L.C.  cites above, link below.  They are not yet back on the Buffalo depth chart for Ohio.

Anything said in a Press Conference is no doubt more current than info in Game Notes, or on a web site.

Bcat2--I was stating my viewpoint; I was not stating anything about anyone who doesn't share my viewpoint.

Monroe:  I can understand a coaching staff telling their team that injuries are not an excuse.  But, for the media and fans evaluating a matchup, injuries are an important consideration.

You wouldn't think that a certified pigskin analyst would need to be told that [snicker]

Every team has injuries.  Maybe some of you mf don't know that.

I don't want to hear whining about that as an excuse.  Ya plays with who ya has and that's that.

I understand that some times injuries can be extreme in their number.  But 8-9 years into a tenure in a conference which has a membership that is about 50% truly weak sisters, I just don't want to hear it.

Last year the injuries were extreme. This year they are slightly on the high side, but not extreme. The only problem is that they have all been concentrated in one area - Offensive Line/TE. The primary ramification of that has been reduced rushing output. The offense has dealt with that reasonably well, but the offense doesn't work without giving the ball to Beau/Boykin on a regular basis, and with the backup offensive line that means 3 yards instead of 4, which makes it somewhat harder to sustain drives and control the ball.

Point out to me where on this thread someone was whining about OHIO's injuries.

From an article in yesterday's Buffalo News:

Linebacker Blake Bean is practicing again after missing the last three games with an undisclosed injury. He should be ready to go against Ohio. Defensive end Colby Way sat out the Kent State game and hasn’t practiced fully this week but did some sprint work on the sidelines Saturday and is close to returning. Running back Devin Campbell didn’t practice Saturday as a precaution but is expected to play against the Bobcats.

You have anger issues.  You say more inappropriate things than appropriate things.

Who said that anyone is whining?  What is stated is merely a desire not to hear it (clearly with a thought to upcoming.).
