Every team says they have a guy who can run over Mack, yet nobody has been able to do it. If Solich is smart he won't take that gamble and instead do what Baylor did. Get the ball out to the receivers immediately and take advantage of our small secondary.

It should hopefully be a decent atmosphere in WNY. The university has been pushing this game pretty hard.

We don't need a back (Blankenship or Boykin) to run over Mack. What I'd like to see happen is Mack get steamrolled a couple times by a lineman (or TE, or 2nd back in a two-back set, as if we'll see one of those) who is lead blocking downfield.

I hope we see that too but probably easier said than done.  When Buffalo played Ohio State earlier this year, the consensus was that the best player on the field that day was Mack.

I've seen one pundit say he'll be the first defensive player taken on the draft, don't remember who though. He's good!

From the Athens Messenger, the good/bad news about injuries. Posted: Monday, November 4, 2013 10:02 pm | Updated: 11:09 pm, Mon Nov 4, 2013.

Thanks to Jason Arkley

 Ohio injuries:
CLEARED to return — TE Anthony Talber, PK Matt Green;

QUESTIONABLE — OL John Prior (leg), LB Jake Schany (concussion), LB Blair Brown (bone bruise);

OUT — DE Ty Branz (knee), OL Sam Johnson (knee), RB Daz Patterson (foot), CB Ian Wells (shoulder), OL Bubba Williams (knee), WR Malik Rodriguez (hand), DB Blake Scipio (ankle).

With Talbert back, TE is full strength again, so they can run more double tight end sets.  As far as the offensive line, I'm sorry Johnson isn't back, and hope he'll make it by BG.

Even if Prior isn't back, the offensive line should be OK with McQueen-Lechner-Powell-Lucas-McGrath. Both Lechner and Lucas play both right and left guard, so not sure who will be on which side. I kind of expected Lechner at LG and Lucas at RG, but I think against Miami they were opposite from that. If Prior can play, so much the better.

On the whole the is the healthiest the team has been since Louisville.

Light years healthier than last year at this time, too.

I get the feeling we're gonna see a crapload of screens to counteract Mack and take some pressure off the offensive line.. I hope anyways.

I see nothing new, nothing at all different about our offense.  The same old.  We are not very dynamic.  Works against lesser opponents but I'd hoped we'd be better...add something new...against Beefs.

Don't know about the rest of you but I'm sick and tires if the OK project. 8 first down run plays for 11 yards. Terrible. Fire Albin at half time and give our bits a chance. Win or lose I'll be the first to sign the fire Albin petition.

This won't be popular but I don't care. The last 3 big MAC games with TT at QB:

MAC Championship N. Illinois.    2011  0 TD.  3 Int.     20 pts
Bowling Green.                            2012. 1 TD.  0 Int.     14 pts
Kent.                                            2012.  0 TD  1 Int.       6 ptsbe

1 TD, 4 interceptions total with 13.3 points per game average. He has a lot to prove against good MAC competition.

Just amazing.  How you can reduce TT's body of work to three games.  That you pick three games, two that he played injured and the one from his sophomore year against the best team in the MAC and blindly overlook Ohio's only two bowl wins and 324 yds/2 TDs at University Park. PA.  At  this point an Ohio fan who can not get behind TT must be, well I don't know what.

i stand and by what I said and looks pretty accurate tonight. I said important MAC games against teams other than the crap teams. He has been pretty poor so far, I have seen 5-6 over throws and 3-4 long passes basically thrown up for grabs. Add to this running when he should pass, passing when he should run and running backwards 25 yards.

That has to be one of the WORST calls I have EVER seen at ANY level of football. He wasn't even CLOSE to being in the endzone. Between that and the fumble that led to Buffalo's TD, this crew should be removed from any other officiating the rest of the season.

It hasn't been just those calls. Whole game has been
called horrible (and not just against Ohio). The flag happy officials have really affected the flow of the game.

First touchdown off of a turnover that should not have occurred.

Safety from possibly one of the ten worst calls in FOOTBALL HISTORY.

Second touchdown from Buffalo possession form one of the ten worst calls in FOOTBALL HISTORY.

All of these Officials should be terminated now.

The MAC should be embarrassed by this game. This conference looks foolish and completely incompetent. This brand of football looks like a joke right now.

Buffalo is a good team, but we are being ridiculously predictable. While we don't deserve the complete embarrassment of the officiating crew, we deserve EVERYTHING we are getting with our offense.

Our defense is beginning to look tired cause our offense can't get anything going.

Buffalo's Offensive line is absolutely dominating our defense!!!   No Buffalo defensive player is even paying attention to Tettleton on the read option,  when we have the ball it's 10 on 11!!
