This Ball State/NIU game is really entertaining.

Just mentioned that to my wife -- a meaningful, entertaining MAC game.  Haven't seen one of those in weeks.

Two very solid team(s) playing quality football.

Hard to think that about two weeks ago I really thought we would be playing one of these team(s) in Detroit.

Now 6-6 looks like our new reality.

Oh well it is "just a game."

Time to watch some real football.

Wow....that run by Lynch just now was Tommy Frazier-esque.

The competitiveness of this game reminds me of some of those late season games we had against Temps when they were in the MAC.

CatFan, I was thinking the same thing.  Do you think we could schedule Temple twice in November during the week next year?

Sorry, I didn't see this thread and started my own MACtion thread on this.

That's how you finish. And nice uniforms NIU.

I wish they had a live "reaction shot" from Herby throughout the game.

Perhaps we should join the AAC.  Frank has Temple's number.  It would be a great league to showcase our basketball talent also.

Herby spent the entire 2nd half retweeting compliments fans had tweeted about him. seriously. then at the end he was like "fun game!".

Fowler tweeted a couple of pretty glowing comments about the quality of the game and the big time atmosphere. lots of national sports media types actively tweeting and really into it. Dorkstreit was the exception amongst his peers.

Sad.  That should have been the nature of us vs. Beefs, BG.

At least Herbie is honest about his indifference toward non-AQ football.  Fowler puts on a good front, but if he really cared there would be at least ONE segment about non-AQs on Gameday.  Instead, every week they give us three hours of prattle about the same big schools and their players that we see consistently on ESPN's weekday shows.  Corso cares, but he has zero clout regarding what they air on the show.

Don't worry, Fowler will continue voting them low in the AP poll as he always does with MAC schools. Fortunately the poll doesn't matter.

FWIW, he had them 22 last week
