L.C.--Did we actually line up with five down defensive linemen or did we just have five in the game with one essentially playing linebacker?  I sure don't recall seeing us with five down linemen on Tuesday.

I'd take AE and the 2006 bunch over this year's squad.  That 2006 squad wasn't marked by talent to a great extent but they got they seemed to get the very most out of what they had.  Can't say that about this year's group.

I don't see the leadership this year.  Just don't.  AE was a helluva leader.

Ohio69 is right.  I thought this staff/program, after 9 seasons, would have one MAC Championship, period.  We haven't.  That is frustrating.  Especially when everyone says we have the best recruits we have ever had, this staff is the best we've ever had, the Head Coach was in a National Champioship game.  Put that all together, and while we are better than the last 35 years, we have still NOT gotten that elusive Championship.  In fact, with all that was said above, we are probably #7 in the MAC this year (yes CMU did beat us).  To add insult to injury Miami and Buffs and Akron from the East have all been Champs during those 9 years.  69 and I don't have a lot of seasons left and we, like everyone on this board, would like to see ONE Championship season.  Again, this is just  frustrating and disappointing.Ugh!

I don't disagree; I think the 2006 team maximized their potential... but I think this team beats that team.

I'm not bus tossing anyone, I really am not, but to put it in perspective...

In the MACC, AE reinjures his ankle; has to leave the game.  Both Brad Bower and Josh Febus play QB...

This year's team clearly has better depth, and I think better #1s, too.

Let's hope this year's 'cats can win out like the 2006 'cats did.  Hopefully we get some help from Eastern, Toledo and Miami, and BG beats the snot out of Buffalo.

I think that would have BG finishing at 7-5, Buffalo at 7-5 and the 'cats at 9-3.  I have no idea how the mac standings would look, or how tiebreakers and such work...

Yes, it's unlikely.  But so was the 2006 team winning 7 in a row...

GO BOBCATS!
