Rest assured folks, the roster has been updated and it includes all of the transfers. The bios still have to be added but hey, it's a start.

It makes me happy to see the three P4 WR Transfers on there (Dennis, Crawford, Pugh). You never know now a days if they will actually sign / show up.

A bunch of new names on there as well...

Rueben Gordon - CB
Xavier Williams - CB
Chriss Allen - DB
Ryan Matheny - LB
Dominc Konopka - LS
Jase Miller - OL
Carson Canning - S
Aiden Lowery - TE

A quick glance at who these are or might be:

Rueben Gordon - CB
My guess: Washington HS, PA, 4.33 40, 6'2" 170 lbs, 4.33 40, 10.82 100 meters
Probably a walkon Freshman

Xavier Williams - CB
Hard to know on this one. Iowa recruited a 3-star RB this year by that name. They also had an Xavior Williams on the roster, who was a CB

Chriss Allen - DB
Probably a transfer from Memphis

Ryan Matheny - LB
Probably a walkon from Covington Catholic, KY

Dominc Konopka - LS
xfer from Marshall

Jase Miller - OL

Carson Canning - S

Aiden Lowery - TE
Chaminade Julienne

Thanks for the research LC. Would be nice to see Bradley Weaver back listed.
I'm thinking Lowery is actually a walkon from Dublin Jerome.

Yep, I knew I probably would guess wrong on at least one. My "Aiden Lowery" is only 5'8" and 160 lbs, and definitely wouldn't be a fit at TE. ;)

Lots of new faces at the CB position. It'll be interesting to see how things shake out.

To me it looks like Roman Parodie, Tank Pearson, Mike Mack (Wisconsin transfer) and Kendall Bannister as possibly the top 4.

Proche tore his ACL and was already lost for the year. That's partly why they went out and got Mack from Wisconsin. Patterson was medically disqualified. Marshall had issues with academics and is headed to a Juco. Duffy also had issues with academics. I'm not sure what happened with Ryder but he was buried on the depth chart and that probably had something to do with it.

Thanks OhioBobcat. I appreciate all the detailed info there. I had high hopes for Marshall at the LB position.

He could potentially end up coming back to Ohio down the road. It would obviously hinge on him getting his academics in order and the staff bringing him back. But in most cases when this happens, the guy opens up his recruitment again and ends up signing at a new school. Not always, but more often than not.

Did I see DT Jordon Jones switch to OT? Wondering if that is accurate?

That is correct. He moved over from the DL and in fact, was doing so well at OL that he's worked his way into the mix for the starting LT spot. I'm guessing he'll end up at #2 though on the depth chart after camp but time will tell.

Depth is a good thing. Hopefully this allows for flexibility. Is Dennison working on the Left Side as of now? I feel like he could play four spots and be good at each.

Dennison was slated to be on the right side and at RT. The last projected depth chart I saw was:

C - Titsworth, Reiners, Jackson
RG - Atkinson, Allen, Johnson
LG - Habinowski, Cisse, Rogers
RT - Dennison, Weatherspoon, Skelly
LT - Heidecker, Jones, Shelby

Maldonado was added later and I don't know where he figures in. If Heidecker isn't the #1 LT he'll likely be a starter elsewhere on the OL. Allen can play all 3 interior spots and Reiners can also play outside (he played some LT his first few years) in addition to center.

Yes, at tackle, and I know the first knock on the idea of it will be his lack of height (the coaches are obviously very well aware). But he performed really well there with his footwork and leverage in the spring and it looks like it could stick.

What's the depth chart looking like at WR?

On paper there seems to be a lot of unproven talent.

Heidecker was a great get.

He is a mauler.

WR isn't as clear as some other positions because of the transfers that came in late. The first string guys are likely going to stay there. It's the 2nd and 3rd string guys that could be shuffled around a little in camp.

Slot - Owens, Rodarte, Dennis, Hurst
X - Harris, Crawford, Debrow
Z - Hendricks, Pugh, Dorwart, Thompson

Habinowski at Guard. Interesting stuff. This is going to be an interesting fall camp.

Looks like some weights have been updated. We have only two defensive linemen over 280 pounds and they are both converted DEs from JUCO or D2. I'm concerned about size, depth, and the lack of proven experience there. And when you consider there's no Thompson or Houston behind them, are we going to get overpowered up the middle? Are we going to get off the field on third and short.

Holding onto Weaver was crucial and I think the transfer from Nevada is going to be great, but that interior is my make or break.

Walter Bob, the former Alabama verbal commit who ended up going to JUCO, is on the roster now.

Recorded 72 total tackles, 6.5 sacks in two years at Hutchinson CC

Sounds like you think this OL will be very good?
