I’d see that as a huge hole as well, only problem is, we do not employ a “nose guard”. Our base is a 4-2-5, we have interior tackles and we have ends. Totally different skill sets and techniques.

I don't know that this is really an issue of the coach's bag of tricks. I think this really depends on the player and the coach agreeing where the player will be utilized. Both Bates and Rogers were tremendous athletes who had designs on being QBs, which certainly limited (to a degree) what they could do elsewhere on the field. If Delaney is here and committed to being a wideout or Slot guy, I think that's where he'll be on game 1.

If he's really trying to be a QB but ends up QB2 or even QB3, he's got to keep up reps and won't be more than a gimmick -- hopefully an effective one -- at wideout or slot.

If we are talking about Crawford he wasn’t a JUCO.

He was recruited by the University of Virginia as a QB.

It was his idea to be a WR for some playing time.

After watching his high school video as a 3 star QB it’s hard to believe that he won’t get a look at QB….unless he wants no part of the QB position.

All guys mentioned (bates and Roger’s) left because they wanted to be QB 1, it’s not like we sold a magic potion, it’s more like we were the last chance. Perception meets realism..

They will align generally anywhere from a 3 to a 1, sometimes even a zero. They are simply DL in the modern game. Globe always had a nose guard in his 3-4 schemes, we’ve not employed one sense.
