First if they hire him Miami might not be able to go to a bowl for a couple of years. Second if they hire him Miami will still be punting form the opponents 29. Oh wait that reminds me of another coach. Seriously though I was at NDSU-YSU game last week and he was honored at YSU's hall of fame ceremony. He is still a god up there.

It's similar to why Marion Barry keeps getting elected to DC's city council -- a lot of people back there still think he was set up.  A lot of people around Ohio think the O$U scandal was overblown.  He wasn't the only one who should've gone down but he took the fall (with a nice buyout) so Smith could stay.

thank you Pataskala for saying what few in Columbus(certainly nobody on the local radio shows)are willing too say even though it is true. Isn't it amazing his firing was changed to retirement with full pension.

Considering Miami's athletic budget, he might only get paid in L.L. Bean gift cards.

It would be great for the Ohio-Miami rivalry to have an @hole to root against. Tressel will bring Miami fans out and get kids to sign on the dotted line. He's not going to compete against OSU in recruiting in the MAC or UC with the facilities they have in place there. He should mop up Ohio after we get done picking and field a team that will compete in the East.

No Way, JT had issues going back to Youngstown State and Ohio State should not have been surprised!
