Anyone watching this game? I thought the Glass Bowl would have more in attendance considering the stakes of the game. Side note: Toledo's uniforms are awful

I flipped over for 5 minutes, but had to turn away due to those uniforms. Hurts the eyes.
Toledo appeared to like to run their own version of Beau up the middle. And they were actually having success with it. But they were also going hurry up, and their QB ran for a first down once too. Funny how that works.

This is an epic drive by NIU right now. Started on own half yard line. Down inside the 5 now. No flashy plays. Just pounding it out.

Didn't we do something like that to win the Tater Bowl?

Lynch is one tough QB.
Anyone else see the Toledo commercial and think it was creepy?

I swear I've seen a half dozen hits and pass coverages in this game that would have been flagged against Ohio.

As I watched that drive it reminded me of the drive we had against BG to wrap up the East two years ago. Started deep in our own territory. Used up the entire clock. Big plays by TT. Wonder what happened to that guy.

One of the announcers said that the reason NFL scouts are very interested in Lynch is that he's willing to give it his all on every play. That's why NIU's where they are and we're where we are.
I liked it when the PBP guy said to Howard that NIU could bust the BCS again this year and drive Herbie nuts again. Wonder where he's working tomorrow.

NIU is the Alabama of the MAC. Fans of other teams can drive themselves to distraction if their only standard for success is a MAC title during this run by NIU.

For NIU to get Jerkstreet in ballistic mode again, they have to win out and, in all likelihood, Fresno State has to lose one game. Their rematch with Boise State in the MWC Championship game looks like the best bet, though the game will be played at FSU, because they are the higher ranked team in the BCS Bowl. Go Boise!

NIU (14) jumps Fresno (16), and UCF falls another spot (19), cue ESPN talking head meltdown assuming they don't blow the MAC title game.

Human polls are really favoring Fresno State over NIU. Bulldogs are currently #13 in both the Harris and Coaches polls. NIU is #17 in Harris and #20 in the Coaches.
Luckily the computers love NIU. They average #7 in the computer rankings, while Fresno is down at #17.
If NIU takes care of business and gets back to a BCS bowl, I don't think there will be nearly the level of outrage from the talking heads as last season. Last year most of the outrage wasn't that a team from the MAC was going to a BCS bowl, it was that a one-loss team from the MAC was going to a BCS bowl; the first time a one-loss, non-AQ team qualified for one.

Good for NIU. As The Commander says "It Should Have Been Me."
oh don't get crazy..i didn't expect us to go undefeated. i do expect us to have serious shot at MACC.
