I agree with your statement, this whole team has sucked. I am 99% sure though that Tettleton has a big issue with the play calling and doesn't like it. As a quarterback and senior leader, you cannot outwardly whine and moan after every play. The rest of the team can see that, and the fans can see that. His displeasure and defiance of the coaching staff bleeds over into all the other players and here we are at having an ENTIRE team playing sloppy and without effort. Tettleton may not like the play calling, and I completely agree with him, but his job is to lead this team and run every play with confidence like it will work. Let the higher ups decide if they want to get rid of the OC.

I have thought about this conspiracy theory, and have concluded it makes no sense. It was, after all, Albin/Gdowski's play calling and teaching that made him into a player that was getting Heisman mentions as a Sophomore. Why would he turn his back on that, and suddenly refuse to execute the plays? Why would he deliberately play in a way that has cost him support and respect? Why would they continue to play him if he was refusing to execute the plays? Why would the coaches play him, if they knew he wouldn't execute the plays, and that would destroy hopes of winning.

No, that whole theory makes no sense. That doesn't mean it's impossible, but it does mean that I have a hard time buying it. There is clearly something wrong. This team played well enough to beat some very good teams, in NTSU and Marshall, either of whom would probably be favored over BG or Buffalo. They clearly didn't play to their potential. There clearly are some internal issues. I just don't think we can know what those issues are. Let's hope they find a solution.

Tett not angry "Me personally, I'm not. I'm just trying to enjoy these last couple of games as a senior. I think that's how it should be."

"It's just a game. You can't look too much into it. Obviously you want to do win and do all that stuff, but.. its just a game."

With an attitude like that, I hope he enjoys them for the bench!

Yeah, how DARE a man have perspective. HE MUST BE MISERABLE! THAT IS THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE EMOTION!

In so many instances, I'd agree with you, but the QB of a football team can't go down this road without scrutiny, as Jay Cutler has learned.

Perspective means placing an event in proper context of a grander scheme. You could see his comments as a refreshing middle finger to the hypercompetitive, melodramatic nature of fans of D1 athletics.

Or I think Tettleton's comments could be seen, more damagingly. as dismissive of the hard work hundreds of others have put into this season and their careers at Ohio. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt given he's making these comments just minutes after getting off the field, but there isn't much perspective to "It's just a game" -- the philosophical fallback of the average 14-year old trying to deflect responsibility and uncomfortable truths. If anyone knows passive-aggressive it's me, the king of such nonsense. Tettleton's comments could be interpreted or perhaps misconstrued as such.

JSF, attribute those same words to Ellen Herman in her senior year at OHIO, and can you honestly say you wouldn't be disappointed by them?  If so then you are a bigger man than me, but I can't imagine that is an attitude she would have held.

I think Ellen more likely would have broken someone's spine.
