They have a point in the AP poll. They're an FCS team. I didn't even know that was possible.

I didn't know it was possible either. They are big fast and strong though and they are a very very good team.

Appy St. got votes (and may have been ranked) for a week after they beat Michigan in the Big House a few years ago. That's the last time I can remember it happening.

I remember after that game that the AP either clarified or changed their rules to the effect that FCS teams could be ranked.

The main Ohio State beat writer for the Columbus Dispatch is the person who is voting for them. He justified it as not being able to find a FBS team worthy of the #25 spot as all of them had bad losses and nobody had a win as good as NDSU (at Kansas State).

Hate to say it but I don't disagree with him

I watched NDSU play at Youngstown State a couple weeks ago. They are a really solid football team. I think they could beat any team in the MAC aside from NIU.

Also, they brought more fans to Youngstown than any school I've ever seen come to Peden, with the exception of Marshall.
