On College Gameday this morning, Corso allegedly said "Ohio does not have a winning record at Michigan"

Herbstreit replied with "Ohio University?"

I know how many of you can't stand Kirk, but at least give him props for recognizing there is Ohio and Ohio State

He doesn't buy into "THE O$U" either, which makes him less an ass than some others.

I'm sure that was just a slip by Corso.  He hasn't been the same since the stroke.

If OSU wants to be referred to as The Ohio State, that up to them. After all we want to be known as OHIO and not OU

If OSU wants to be referred to as The Ohio State, that up to them. After all we want to be known as OHIO and not OU


Oh, yes, it's up to them.  But it just shows their arrogance and pretentiousness.  My diploma says "The Ohio University" and I'm sure damn near every college in Ohio has "The" before the school name on their diplomas.  But none of them insist on emphasizing "The".
