Impressive hire. How long will he stay at BG?

1-4 years, I would guess. That's pretty much the norm in the MAC. His Eastern Illinois team nearly beat NIU this year.

I guess I do not get the hype that this guy will bring a potent wide open offense that all the MAC should fear?

This just in......the MAC made it's name on high scoring spread offenses during the week. We call it MACtion.

We (OHIO) just need to keep up with the rest of the league.

To his credit, he took a lackluster program (2-9 each year in '10 & '11) and came up with winners (7-5 in '12; 12-2 this year).  He did so with mostly the previous coach's team, so he apparently can get the most out of what he has.  Even though he was recruiting coordinator at some point at Baylor, the jury's out on his recruiting as a HC.  Wonder if he'll bring some EIU players with him.
