so disappointed they could not make it through the entire article without pointing out that he would be the first "black" head coach. THought maybe we were moving past the point where we needed to point those things out. Probably a big deal as historically they are  one of the last overt strongholds of racism in the US but I will be happy when the writers and talking heads discuss the candidate and his merits rather than pointing out his blackness or his latino roots. 

INteresting hire. Not sure he can live up to undue and unusually high expectations implicit with the job but it will also be interesting to see who goes to UL and their new conference alignment.
