Seems last spring there were a lot of key players who could not do the usual off season work as they were rehabbing from injuries. I am actually up about having expected starters building themselves instead of rehabbing from injury. Is the team really that healthy or am I just unaware?

Normally there are about 65 scholarship players in winter conditioning, trying to get bigger, stronger, and faster, and in better shape. By my count the following players were out due to injury at the close of 2012: Mcgrath, Tanner, Robak, Sam Johnson, Boykin, L. Smith, Dovell, S. Smith, Yazdani, Shaw, Schany, and Hughes, and there may have been a few others that delayed surgery until after the season. Thus, about a fifth of the team missed winter conditioning a year ago.

This year the list of injured at the end of the season would include Tanner, Henry, B. Williams, Wells, B. Brown, and Schany, plus probably a few others that delayed surgery until after the season. Thus this year its about 10% of the team that is probably missing winter conditioning. That's better, but still could improve further.

Better by at least half is pretty good. JMHO.
