That's really interesting. Meigs County has produced the highest percentage of Division I football players in relation to its population of collage-age males.

I have some question as to accuracy, however. I switched it to filter for just Ohio Bobcats, and it claims that there are 5 from Androscoggin County, Maine. Hmmmm.

Awesome that Miegs has a 1 to 100 ratio. Only place I saw better was Tunica Co, MS. 5 players/491 males. That is a great map and the Basketball side is even more interesting with the total number of players being so much less.

My home county is grey but I know for a fact that isn't true. Tate Leavitt who I think will be joining the Cats played for my High School's rival, I know 1 person from my hometown who played for the Cats recently, another from my high school rivals, and two from my high school who play/played for WVU.

Re: Androscoggin-gate
Apparently if ESPN had no information regarding the hometown, height, and weight of a player, they listed him as being from Livemore Falls, Maine, in Androscoggin County.

It's only players currently listed on Division I rosters on ESPN.com, which has some errors, as noted.

Also, there's only so much information one can gather. For example, I grew up in Lucas County and went to school in Lucas County, but based on my mailing address, I probably would have been grouped as Ottawa County in a list like this.
