Chris Fowler, who will also continue as GameDay host. Listening to 97.1 FM in Columbus today, afternoon talk hosts were discussing Rece Davis perhaps leaving ESPN to join SEC on CBS (He is a Bama alum).
I like Fowler, but I don't feel his style is suitable for PBP. He has that "X" ingredient for studio hosting, but I think he lacks the "Y" ingredient for PBP, what Keith Jackson, Brad Nessler, or Thom Brennaman have.

So they're getting rid of Musberger? Rece Davis does Thursday night games I thought.
Fowler used to do PBP every so often. And Brad Nessler sucks, just MHO.

Musberger will do games on the new SEC network, with Jesse Palmer. No definite word on what Rece Davis will do, Bishop & Rothman were just speculating

Fowler does PBP for tennis. What I like about him is he tends to do a good job not being in the way. Not of the action or of his color people.

Fowler's ok but I think Brad Nessler has a better delivery.
At least now I'll be able to watch the Saturday night game with the sound on. Musburger wreaks.

I wonder what Fowler thinks of McCarron's girlfriend.
