Does anyone know if they will be having a spring sale again this year at the spring game?

Yes, there will be a sale at this year's Spring Game. Gates open for the sale at 12:00 pm, with the game kicking off at 2:00 pm. Fans will also have the chance to renew/purchase their season tickets at our select-a-seat event throughout the day.

Can someone who's gone previously give me some details on the surplus sale part of the spring game, please? Game and practice apparel? All sports? Equipment, i.e. footballs, basketballs, bags, etc.? Sale worth the effort or is everything gone in 5 min.? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

I went last year (my first experience).
1. I'm not sure it was every sport, but it was definitely more than just football. Lots of baseball equipment, and some track jerseys too. A lot of generic "Ohio Athletics" stuff too.
2. Both clothing and equipment available. Condition varies by sport, size, item, etc. Some game worn, some practice apparel, some never-been-used.
3. It's a feeding frenzy the first 20 minutes. Line up by 10 AM if you want first dibs.
4. I tried going right as the gates opened, but decided it just wasn't worth it. I went back before the spring game started and there was still some stuff left. I got a football, some workout/grass-cutting shorts, and a t-shirt. Total was about $15 I think.
YMMV.

Guys its worth it..sort of like a huge treasure hunt..everything is SUPER cheap and face it the money helps the program. I got 2 pairs of super comfy Ohio football sweat pants,1 ohio basketball windbreaker , a practice jersey for my man cave and new some basketball shoes for a whopping twenty bucks.

They do have neat stuff at a great price. The only problem is that each year the crowd gets bigger and the space gets smaller. Hopefully it's bigger and better this year.

They also always staff way fewer people at checkout than they should. Hopefully that is fixed.

I've gone to the spring sale the past two seasons and walked away empty handed both times. It seemed that it allowed earlybirds, which ruins things for people who come at the posted start time. Hopefully, this year will be different.

Well, if they allow earlybirds, I'm not going. That's a waste.

This would actually be a perfect kickoff for Walter Fieldhouse. Why aren't they having it in there?
