I'll bet anyone that this is not a correct prediction and that we play someone else in a different bowl on a different day -- and, maybe, even in a different year (Jan. 2015).  Any takers?

If you are thinking 2015 I can assure you that you are wrong. The playoff bowls that we could be eligible fall on December 31st.

No, I"m thinking about the GoDaddy in Mobile, which in the past has always been sometime the first week in January.  I assume that will continue, but I see the actual date is listed as TBA.

I believe it won't be played in January this time. Its even less likely Ohio is in the GoDaddy since Solich has coached in that game before and so far hasn't coached in a repeat bowl game. From what I can see its intentional.

Might wanna concentrate on opener vs. kents before anything so distant and lofty as a bowl game, espec given the last year and a half and the graduations and holes to fill.

Agree.  But, this thread was in response to a published article.  BTW, any media person who predicts next year's bowls now seriously has too much time on his/her hands.
