Just picked up on this.  Gil Brandt says he might go in the 4th round.

I liked the book, as well as Brian DePalma's original adaptation. Haven't seen the 2013 redux.

He's not even mentioned in this Hustlebelt article on MAC Draft possibilities, nor is Foster or Lechner, the two others with an outside chance of getting drafted. I gather the omission isn't a good sign. Let's hope we hear his name. He's been a great Bobcat.

Either lack of talent or 'coaching 'em up.'

2006 surprised because we had a veteran group, espec at MLB and QB.

This year, no returning studs at LB, O-line injuries and no returning/proven in the O-backfield.

This website projects Carrie in the fifth round or later. Here is a scouting report on him, and another scouting report with a couple videos on him.

Every article about him seems to mention his injury as a possible reason for him not being drafted. Some seem to think he'll end up an un-drafted free agent. Here's an article that lists him as a late round gem.

TJ is the type of person I pray gets a shot at his dream. The guy will be a phenomenal role model for the people he encounters in life. Not because of his athletic ability, but because of his unquestioned work ethic, moral standards, and his attentiveness to the people around him. When someone speaks, he listens, and he reacts to what they're saying with genuine interest, and when necessary, compassion.

I've known TJ for over five years. The year our basketball team beat Georgetown, myself, TJ, and two other guys road tripped out to Providence. We spent a day in NYC, and in that City I watched TJ give $20 to a distressed mother who came on the subway asking for help.

People may question whether the money was well placed, but what I don't question is TJ's immediate reaction to help a stranger in need.

College athletes, in my opinion, often are assumed to be "good" people by fans unjustifiably. If you need a Bobcat to root for, Travis Carrie is your guy.

Fun Fact:

A new movie called "When the Game Stands Tall" is coming out soon (I think) about TJ's high school football program, De La Salle. The movie centers around the shooting of a senior and the end of a 151 game win streak. I don't know if TJ was there during the 2004 season (I think he was), but it would've been his Freshman year.

Per the grades, there were five Cornerbacks rated much higher than all the other prospects. All those five went in the first round. Here's the current look at the Cornerback position. There are 4 corners rated 5.4, then 9 corners rated 5.3, one of which is Carrie. It will probably be Saturday before his name is called, but he certainly deserves to hear his name.

Here are some lists of top corners. In addition to the combine ratings, which had him as the 12th best corner, you have:
draftcountdown has Carrie at 24.
walterfoundation does not have him in the top 32
SB Nation does not have him in the top 34
nfldraftscout has him at 36

There was very broad agreement as to who the best 5 corner prospects were, and they are all gone. Beyond those 5, it gets a lot fuzzier. I would say that a consensus grouping of the next eleven corners (probably picked rounds 2-4) would be:

McGill (Utah)
Breeland (Clemson)
Jean-Baptiste (Nebraska)
Desir (Lindenwood)
Roberson (Florida)
Watkins (Florida)
Gaines (Rice)
Mitchell (Oregon)
Reynolds (Oregon State)
Exum (Virginia Tech)
Joyner (Florida State)

After that, who really knows? Carrie could come any time after that, or not at all. Or, maybe someone will recognize his ability, and his leadership traits, and take him earlier than expected. He is one of the fastest corners left on the board, so you never know.

29. Goodson (Baylor) Round 6 #21
30. Thomas (G. Tech) Round 6 #30
31. Hal (Vanderbilt) Round 7 #1
32. Carrie (Ohio) to Raiders Round 7 #4
33. Price(N. Carolina) Round 7 #10
34. Westbrook (Ga. Southern) Round 7 #37

Yay, finally. He deserved it.

Oakland also took McGill in Round 4, who is described as "He's a big kid, but with significant off-field issues." They won't have that worry with Carrie.

Well, if he isn't drafted, I have little doubt Foster will get a Free Agent deal. With his speed, leaping ability, and his tough one-handed catches, someone is going to scoop him up. I think we'll see some others with free agent deals, too.

Well, no draft for Foster, which isn't too surprising. Now we wait to hear who signs Free Agent deals. Surely he will, possibly some linemen, such as Prior.

According to his Twitter feed, Foster is headed to Minnesota.
