ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University football team's matchup at Marshall on Sept. 13 will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Kickoff is set for Noon in Huntington, W. Va. at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Ohio's matchup with Marshall will mark the 58th meeting between the two schools. The Bobcats lead the all-time series 32-19-6 and have captured each of the past three meetings.

The Bobcats open the 2014 season at Kent State on Aug. 30 under the direction of Frank Solich, who begins his 10th season as head coach.

Interesting. I kind of had this pegged as a night game (it has been for years now). Wonder how the times shake out for Kent and Kentucky?

I thought Kent State was moved to start the season to be the night game opener on ESPNU or something like that.

Anybody around these parts have CBS Sports Network on their cable package?  It's a "premium" channel in my TW world and I ain't on board.

With my fairly basic DirecTV package, I get cbssports, but of course I don't get STO.

Television companies are stupid.

Channel 322 here in Athens which is good news because I'm personally not a fan of 12:00 games.

That's funny because STO is part of my DirecTV package but CBSSN isn't.  But now that CBSSN is done carrying live college sports for the summer, they've opened it up (at least for this week).

I like the fact that CBS Sports Channel has picked up this game.  As someone else mentioned, in southern Ohio we get this channel through Time Warner.

Like Alan, I'm not a fan of 1200 noon starts either.  Really cuts back on the pregame fun with tailgating, etc.  Also, since this is Sept. 13, it could be outrageously hot.  (You just knew I'd throw in a reference to weather.)

Allie LaForce is part of the talent at this network.  She usually hosts their evening show.

I started to have access to CBSSN during basketball season. Don't know if it was a tease or if TWC added it to the basic sports package I already have.

She's gonna be the lead sideline reporter for SEC on CBS games this season, working with Verne and Gary.

According to the latest ESPN schedule, The U has Idaho-Florida at night and S. Dak St-Mizzou at 3:30.  The noon slots on The U & The Deuce are both open (ESPN2 has PSU-UCF at 8:30 a.m. from Ireland).  Could also show up on TWC.

It's on the very highest tier on ATT Uverse... When I had the second highest tier I pretty much got everything but it and Longhorn Network. I've since dropped another tier, so now I don't get MLBN, NHLN, NBATV and a bunch of stuff I rarely watched anyway. I still get NBCSN, NFLN, and all of the good ones at that level.

For you northeast Ohio guys, it sure was easier when we had 3, 5 and 8 and 43 if the wind was blowing right or dad had adjusted the tenna rotor just right.  OCF, am I sounding old?

I like this game to be at night.

Hope it's at night at Peden next time. You can't enter the field to a Johnny Cash song during the day. Unless it's I Saw the Light, maybe.

It was 21, 27, 33, and 45 for us until we got cable (Youngstown stations).  If you were lucky you might get 9 out of Steubenville, and 53 out of Pittsburgh

It could be so brutally hot at noon on Sept 13 in Herdistan that we may be entering the field to "Ring of Fire."

Did Marshall request this be a day game because they can't beat us at night?
