The MAC has 25 games vs teams from the Snob conferences this season (AAC is no longer a Snob, so games vs Cincy don't count anymore). I think the MAC has a real shot at winning 8 of them, and could win another 7 with some luck. One problem this season is that the MAC has lost so many good players that it's hard to tell where a lot of teams stand. Anyway, based on how teams improved (or didn't) over the course of last season, here's my rundown on how the MAC teams can fare:
Have a Real Chance
Colorado at UMass (My upset special of the year)
Northern Illinois at Northwestern
Ohio at Kentucky (This could be a gut-check game for Ohio)
Indiana at Bowling Green
Toledo at Iowa State
Kent State at Virginia
Central Michigan at Purdue (Purdue is really, really bad)
Central Michigan at Kansas
With a Little Luck
Missouri at Toledo (Toledo played them tough at Mizzou last year)
Western Michigan at Purdue
Akron at Pittsburgh (With Bowden, you never know)
Northern Illinois at Arkansas
Syracuse at Central Michigan
Ball State at Iowa
Akron at Penn State
Don’t Hold Your Breath
Boston College at UMass
Eastern Michigan at Florida
Baylor at Buffalo (No Khalil Mack; no chance)
Kent State at Ohio State
Miami at Michigan
UMass at Vanderbilt
Bowling Green at Wisconsin
Eastern Michigan at Michigan State
UMass at Penn State
Western Michigan at Virginia Tech
