Dude obviously does a lot...a lot...of homework.

Note his description of the disastrous part of his last season.  Maybe the willfully ignoring of you who wouldn't accept my reasonable representation of last year will believe it from Meyerburg.

Good to read that he thinks the D will be splendid.  There's potential in that O-fence, too, in certain right-thinking individuals' minds.

I'm really high on our offense.  We have lots of very good talent, but they lack experience, especially experience playing together.  The D will definitely have to carry this team through the first four or five games.

While I would love to agree with Paul, I got sucked into watching the BOB Bowl early Monday morning, and we showed a significant inability to stop interior runs against ECU time and again.  I believe we are strong from the ends back, but I believe the interior is vulnerable until I see otherwise.

If Kant/Kentucky/Marshall are weak running the ball inside, then I say we have a punchers chance in all three games until the O catches up with the D.  And if we can't stop the interior run game, we are staring an 0-3 start square in the face.

I still like this team's chance to over deliver against last year's seeming mentally weak leadership squad, and challenge BUGS for the East.  Hence I'm making the trip back for Homecoming to see this squad amped up to avenge the 49-0 debacle from last year.

In Derrius I Trust.

I have the same attitude/belief going into this season.  The last time we went into a season with a good amount of unknowns on offense we rolled to the MACC.  I will be able to handle being on the wrong end of the scoreboard if I know our guys played their hearts out and left it all on the field.  Didn't always have that belief in many games last year. Effort, enthusiasm, and heart can go a long way on a young team.

I thought Paul's assessment was accurate and some of his facts, for a national publication covering a mid-major school, was impressive.
A good read.
He is some what optimistic.
He seems to want to watch Joey D. in fall camp. So do I.
