For the sake of the conference, I hope it's a clean MAC sweep on Thursday. Definitely possible. WMU might keep it interesting for a while Friday but Wisky has too much beef and depth. The last three games listed seem to be the best chance for Saturday victories.

I have no idea what to expect from the Cats against Syracuse but I am keeping my expectations low with so much roster turnover going against a P5 on the road.

Wisconsin hasn't been that dominant lately, I wouldn't be all that shocked if Western keeps it close for a while. It pains me to say, but Fiami should have a decent shot against Northwestern.

Doesn't Miami have a pretty good history vs Northwestern?

That will be the upset pick for the MAC in week ONE.

Go Bobcats; Get out of CarrierTown with minimal injuries and more positives then negatives.

Chuck Martin cannot, CANNOT, run his mouth like he has in the last week only to get beat by a bunch of wannabe union nerds in a scaffolding stadium.

Don't be surprised if the MAC drops a couple of the 1AA games this week. Lafayette is coming off a 9-3 season, so Buffalo is likely to have its hands full. Fordham might not be as good as it was a couple years ago, but they were a decent 6-5 last year and BG always seems to have trouble with the other subdivision. And NIU just about always struggles against the other directional Illinois teams.

I have no expectations for the Cats this season. Even though we smothered GaSo with many of the players we now have, there's been so much churn on both sides of the ball and in the coaching staff that it's hard to get a handle on how we are. It could be 2021 all over again or something better. As for this week, I'll just be happy if we make a game of it by being within ten pts in the 4th quarter.

BG returned the opening kickoff. That's about as good of a start as you could have. Then they got the ball right back. I don't know how much you can trust a computer, or any prognostication at this point, but FPI is already giving BG a 98% chance to win 3 minutes into the game.

All three MAC teams are off to a good start. I'd hate to see one of them lose tonight.

Yes a good night for the MAC last night. A win tonight would make the start of a great weekend.

Has anyone followed closely the transfers into WMU this year? With all their new money for the athletic program as a result of that huge donation from the two physician graduates, you'd think they'd be the cream of the crop in terms of "salaries" for football players.

10-7 at half. Don't know what will happen in the second half, but WMU looking tough so far. Their TD was on a fourth down -- right up the middle, after they'd been stuffed two other times on essentially the same play from inside the three. I thought they'd go for some misdirection on the 4th down play after they had been stuffed twice before, but they really showed toughness to me with that call.

They are doing well but Wisconsin looks more dominant that the score indicates.
WMU is getting massively outgained and losing badly in time of possession. They can still win but I feel like it is going to take a mistake by Wisconsin.

Big mistake by WMU on that punt may end up giving the game to Wisconsin.

They were the first MAC team to not at least cover. I was surprised that they were within 7 in the second half but they got crushed in the end.

I'll always root for MAC outside the conference but it was an awesome feeling rooting for Keye Thompson mid play. Transfer portal blues. 😁

FWIW, the MAC went 6-5. They won every FCS game and lost every P4 game. EMU beat UMass.

The MAC went 9-2 against the spread with Kent and Miamk both not covering as underdogs
