It looks like he owned up to it, and will make sure it doesn't happen again. Still, it will hurt his already slim chance to make the roster. With any luck he has been making enough progress that they will keep him on the practice squad another year, and he'll have a shot at making the team next year.

I've heard whisperings that this is an issue with our team. This could be a problem that started in Athens. Remember his crazy lifting results at the combine? Makes ya wonder, how well does Frank police this team?

Good grief.  First Brazil.  Now Herman.  Hope Mike Mitchell can stay clean.

Thereputic use exceptions had to be filed by June 30th. It seems that the most common drug detected under this clause is the drug Adderall, an amphetamine used to treat ADHD, but since the union agreement prevents disclosure of the actual drug, we have no way of knowing for sure.

Paul, without NFL like testing how can we expect Frank to police this. Maybe if the training staff is looking the other way that is one thing, but with the size of most D1football players there's always going to be suspicion.  Just not much a coach can do  legally without NCAA testing, except just preaching to his players.

The 4 game suspension means this is his second offense. So 2 violations in 2 years, with Brazill picking up 3 in 3 years.......

I think you get suspended 4 game for ped's first time caught so I will give him a second chance.  Brazill is a different story and had plenty of chances.

First positive is an automatic 4 game suspension.

I take offense to any suggestion that Ohio is operating a dirty program after two former players have issues quite some time after graduating. That's like pinning a DUI on an offender's high school driving instructor.

Well, I've heard things. Do with that information what you will.

However, given his outstanding lifting numbers...in your analogy it's more like he was drunk when he took his driving test.

Maybe I'm just cynical, but I assume that nearly 100% of NFLers are taking PEDs. I mean, the NFL announced MONTHS in advance when they were going to be taking baseline measures for HGH...sorta saying "TAKE YOUR HGH before this day because that's when we're going to be establishing your baseline readings going forward"

So, it's your practice to broadcast everything you've "heard?" You might want to consider adding discretion to your repertoire.

its a shame he didn't beat a woman half to death and drag her unconscious body through a lobby, that only gets you suspended for 2 games.

Apparently it gets you a standing ovation, too. <sigh>

What exactly do you expect from the citizens of Baltimore? Civilized behavior?

Never been impressed with the classiness of anyone from Baltimore.  They proudly stole the baseball Browns from St. Louis then whined like babies when the Colts moved to Indy.  They thoroughly booed Reggie Jackson whenever he came to town after signing with the Yankees but cheered wildly after he got hurt during a game.  They're basically scumbags.
