Not concerned what we uninformed fans wish for. What would the below listed athletes have to say about it?

2014 Travis Carrie, 7th Round (Oakland Raiders)
2013 Eric Herman, 7th Round (New York Giants)
2012 LaVon Brazil, 6th Round (Indianapolis Colts)
2010 Taylor Price, 3rd Round (NE Patriots)
2009 Mike Mitchell, 2nd Round (Oakland Raiders)
2008 Landon Cohen, 7th Round (Detroit Lions)

To bad, Coach Sano is going no where, SBH can start his Fire the strength coach thread anyday now.

I think evaluating the strength and conditioning staff is a job for the coaches and AD, not the fans.

Do you (or anyone else) know where Sano is going? Or do you literally mean he's just retiring/resigning and going nowhere? I know his wife also works at the university.

Hes not going anywhere, still overseeing the Strength and Conditioning program and working with Football on a daly basis. Saw him out there this morning as i rode my bike by workouts.

So they're just posting his position by mistake?? Something doesn't make sense. Either he's leaving or someone in HR needs to be let go...

It could be a sport-specific opening.

It is possible that he is getting some sort of promotion and they are promoting one of his assitants, but need to post the job to make it official.

That would be my guess

Since the applicant will be reporting to the Assistant AD for Sports Performance, I'm guessing Sano has gotten a promotion to that position.

With or without the promotion of an assistant, this seems like the most likely explanation for how it was handled. If Sano was leaving, you'd expect that he would be told before the job was posted.

The answer probably is that Zan Brouillette, the Director of Sports Performance, is leaving.

Every year our player's post great combine or pro day numbers. They match up well with high major football teams. Sano is partially responsible, he has done a great job and we need to get off his back.

It's not we, it's mainly one poster, who will begin his annual thread after the 1st injury or loss.
