No announcement from the league office. And apparently no media all that interested in following up.

I've scanned the box scores from the MAC and MVC since 11/9 and can't find anything officiated over by Tom McCabe or the remnants of his crew.

McCabe and his crew are the most incompetent officialsNOT that I've seen at the college level.  They should be suspended indefinitely.  The most important thing that officials should do is protect players and they sure wasn't protecting Waters - they allowed several hits after his forward progress was stopped.  Then - the safety call!!!

Holy cow! The guy actually refed a MACC game.  He must keep his best calls for the Buffs as they won that game too.  And, to think, he is one of the best the MAC has?

We should find out the status of him and his officiating crew next week.  Because of the thin conference schedule the last couple weeks the MAC has probably been able cover games without his crew.  But the MAC has five games on the 29th, so it won't be so easy.  If he's still around, what's the odds of him showing up for our game?

I did not think it necessary to even look at the UT-NIU box to see if he was on it... but I did anyway to confirm.

Still nothing. As it should be.

True story:  At McCabe's wedding, the priest missed the call and McCabe ended up married to one of the bridesmaids.

The one about four yards away from the goal line.

When he proposed, he got down on one knee but dropped the ring as he took it from his pocket.  Another guy picked it up and walked away with it.  He said McCabe's knee wasn't down.

Tom McCabe and his merry band of miscreants is back in action and embarrassing the profession of football officiating.

They're calling the CMU-EMU game. See if the Umpire setting moving screens makes the Not Top 10 tonight.

I will be composing my letter to The Post presently.
